Think you know exactly how your senior year is going to pan out? Think again.
Just a few months ago, the Class of 2016 entered their senior year with a myriad of expectations. As the days rolled by, these expectations slowly turned into reality: Senior year is nothing like High School Musical 3.
Expectation: “I’m not gonna get Senioritis”
Reality: “THIS HOMEWORK IS TOO HARD TO COPY”
Expectation: You’re going to apply early to colleges and be organized about it.
Reality: *Submits application on due date at 11:59*
Expectation: You’re going to branch out and meet new people.
Reality: *Eats lunch in the Learning Commons*
Expectation: Second semester is going to be easy.
Reality: The stress of scholarship applications, AP Exams, and the worsening Senioritis is a close second to the stress of first semester.
Expectation: Once Senior privileges start, you’re going to wear the cutest outfits.
Reality: *Comes to school in pajamas and CB uniform*
Expectation: The teachers are going to love you.
Reality: “Joe [MacNamara] you’re the worst person I’ve ever met. I’m literally counting the minutes till you graduate” – Mr. Dave Anderson ’07
Expectation: You’re going to have everyone’s respect.
Reality: *Gets a wristband to distinguish that you’re a senior*
Expectation: You won’t care about what other people think of you.
Reality: You really don’t.
