Where’s The Grub?

Are you looking for a new place to grub? The Talon has spots for you.

If you’re hungry, you’re more than likely to go stare in the fridge, then in the pantry, then back in the fridge. After that, you’re likely to just grab a couple bucks and go out to get food. A few CB students gave their input on their favorite place to get a quick bite.

One good place to get food is a Chinese fast food restaurant called Panda Express. One CB student who goes to this fine establishment for food is Christina Ramirez (’16). Christina usually orders chow mein and two orders of orange chicken.

“I go there because it makes me feel happy and warm on the inside,” Christina explains.

Another Chinese food restaurant that is popular among CB students is called Quickly’s located in Land Park on Freeport Boulevard. Sophomore Owen Hunt (’18) says his favorite dish to order is a Teriyaki bowl.

Another kind of popular Asian food is Mongolian barbecue. Remi Kirrene (’17) talks about the sweet cuisine saying, “It’s kinda like make your own Chow Mein so I get Noodles lots and lots of noodles and some streak(I skip the veggies).”

Remi likes to go to Great Wall Mongolian Barbecue.

“[I like it because] it’s like all you can eat,” she explains.

Traveling around the globe from one culture of food to another, Lorenzo Martinez (’16) talks about his favorite dish from  Lalo’s restaurant on 24th Street. Lorenzo says he gets barbacoa and quesadillas from the Mexican restaurant.

“[They have] the best Mexican food,” Lorenzo says. “It’s like eating Mexican food all over again in Mexico.”

There are many different types of food in the world and you can find these different dishes all around the greater Sacramento area. Now you don’t have to keep staring in to your fridge looking for something delicious to appear.
