Falcons show off their dance moves and create another Family Dance to remember.
On January 23rd, the annual CB Family Dance took place in the Ron Limeberger Gymnasium. A night filled with clever costumes, dancing, music, pictures, and family bonding is a perfect way to describe the evening.
A Night at the Movies” brought out some convincingly real movie character costumes.
Perhaps the best costumes of the night came from the winners of the costume contest which were Elmer Lizarde (’16), Laura Uslan, and Donovan Rooney (’16) and his mom.
The winner of the dance contest, Jack Graham (’16) and his mother Patricia showed why they’re the best dancing family in the school.
“I think it’s fair to say my mom and I are the best dancers in CB history,” the senior stated.
Apart from all the fun competition and dancing that comes from the dance, CB students appreciated the time they got to spend with their parents and siblings.
“The best part of the night was spending time with my mom at my school and being able to spend a CB dance with her and my brother,” Davis Yasuda (’16) says.
It is no doubt that the Family Dance was a perfect way to show student’s families what a CB dance is like and of course to show off the new cool dance moves for high school students. Another great part of the dance is also the time spent with friends.
“It was good to spend time with my family and get to know my friends’ families as well,” Scott Yasuda (’19), younger brother of Davis, stated.
Davis Yasuda appreciates the tradition of the dance.
“It was special being able to go to this dance for four years especially being able to share the last on with my brother,” he says. “I know Scotty is already excited about next year’s dance.”
For the seniors who took part in their last family dance, those nights will always be remembered and cherished as one of the best events at CB.
Once again the Family Dance was a night to remember and the countdown for nest years has already begun.
