Jamarri Jackson’s passion for football is at its highest as he enters his third year in the CB football program.

She had seen enough.

As a result of her six year old’s constant energy, Jamarri Jackson’s (’17) mom deemed it essential that he play football.

“My mom was like ‘you’re going to football practice today,'” he says.

Ten years later, his passion for football has blossomed into a mentor role. His family, who Jamarri mentions has members living in Oak Park, seems to have faith in our fellow falcon’s extraordinary skills.

“Everyone relies on me to be the role model,” he says.

That includes his teammates.

“He’s a hard worker on the field and he enjoys playing the game,” says teammate Diego Black (’17). “He’s very dedicated.”

Throughout Jamarri’s football career, his mentor has been Terrance Mitchell who played for University of Oregon and is now a member of the Chicago Bears.

“We are constantly texting and he keeps me working and striving for my goals,” the junior says.

The motivated player’s eagerness for football is better than ever as his third year on the CB football team is gearing up to be one for the books. “

We’re very versatile and we have a lot of guys that are dangerous on the ball,” he declares.

The running back’s love for the end zone has proved beneficial over the last three weeks with nine touchdowns in total for our Falcons.

“When you touch that end zone, you’re only there for a certain amount of time and you’re just like, I want to go back,” Jamarri said passionately.

Jamarri has demonstrated over his last three years that he is ready for the big leagues. He hopes to obtain an offer from his dream school, University of Oregon, and continue on his path to success.

“I know people are watching so I’ll just keep going,” Jamarri says.

And the CB community will definitely be watching his future endeavors with football.
