Spring Break is blessing the CB community with a sweet release from the grind of school life and responsibilities. The Talon has already gone out to see how the students of CB will be celebrating the spring season, but how will our beloved teachers fare?

“I have 125 X man projects to grade, which can take in between five and ten minutes to grade,” says science teacher Ms. Doreen Virk.

The ever diligent Ms. Virk wastes no time over the vacation and takes the opportunity to catch up on grading genetic projects her biology classes have recently completed. Unfortunately for Ms. Virk, her husband is away in the culturally rich land of India, his homeland.

Not all of our teachers are spending their break slaving away with papers though.

“I am going to Hawaii with my family, it is a big year for us!” says Ms. Stephanie Roybal shares with the Talon. “My family and I will be attending mass in the Islands for Easter this year.”

A truly beautiful way to be celebrating the resurrection of Christ. However, an island paradise is not essential for having a wonderful Easter.

“My family does a big get-together,” says Mr. Paul “Brother” Havey. “I’ll have about twenty to thirty family members over and they’ll bring their kids to do egg hunts and we have money egg hunts for the older kids. Then we will eat a lot and hangout, and that’s the big family Easter.”

All it takes for a wonderful Easter is having your family around to enjoy one another’s good company.
