CB students are fired up about their beloved Sacramento Kings.

The Kings have announced specific plans the new site for the downtown arena and people seem to be really excited. The Talon went out to get the reactions to new direction of the franchise of Kings fans at CB.

Gabe Trujillo (’14) is very excited about the different changes happening in the team.

“It’s cool that Vivek [owner of the Kings] is taking a step to help make the Kings better,” he says. “It’s cool because it’s like we have a fresh start.”

He especially likes he new Arena and the Google Glass the team is working on.

Kings fans also have a big impact on the Kings as well. The team is known to have some of the best fans in the NBA and it was proven by beating the record for the loudest indoor arena in a game against the Detroit Pistons with a 126 decibels, where tinnitus( ringing in the ears) begins.

Kings fans have been through thick and thin with this franchise.  Justin McCarthy (’14) says that the Kings staying in Sacramento was the right decision.

“If we let the Kings go, it would have been one of the worst things to happen to this city,” the senior says. “Without the Kings, we lose a lot. I’m just happy that we got the opportunity to keep this great franchise because were lucky to have them. A lot of cities would want a basketball team and we’re lucky to have them here.”

David Cabral (’14) says he is super excited that they are staying and can’t wait until the new arena is finished.

“We have the best fans in the NBA who helped get us to stay, we have great players, and if they left I don’t know what I would do,” he says.

When asked what to expect for the seasons to come he had one simple answer.

“Just prepare for amazing things, we’re going to be one of the best teams in the NBA soon.”

It looks like Kings fans have a lot to look forward to for seasons to come and everyone is excited to have our Kings staying here here  in Sacramento.
