CB’s women’s soccer team has put on some strong performance so far this year and look forward to continued success in the post season.

With a record of 5-3 entering Thursday’s match-up against Casa Roble, CB’s women’s soccer players have proven to be one of the most talented and composed sports teams on campus. A strong senior presence from the likes of defenders Claire Kennealy (’13) and Sarina Munoz (’13) and midfielder Lorena Plascencia (’13) have kept the Falcons on track for success through tough games this season.

Plascencia has also seen improvement from a deep junior class to keep the team on top of its game.

“We have really been helped out by juniors like Sammy Cedros (’14), they have stepped up their game a lot this season” Plascencia tells the Talon.

But with two league games left to go, the Lady Falcons need a strong finish to the season to enter the playoffs as a high seed with good chances at a win.

Cedros believes that, though her teammates may be playing well, they have facets of their game that they must improve to go far in playoffs.

“We have depended on our defense all season and it would be nice to see our offense match that play with some consistency” Cedros proclaimed.

Based upon their performance so far, these improvements are fully withing the capability of the squad. As the playoffs grow ever closer, the Christian Brothers Women’s Soccer team looks to be a looming playoff power to be reckoned with.
