Some found love, some found friendship, but all we know for sure is that everyone had a blast.
Set up by student council and the leadership class, speed dating was a clever idea created to make the Valentines lunch awesome.
“I had a really fun time doing it! I met a lot of underclassmen and even exchanged some numbers!” says senior Isabel Meshot (’13).
Other students were just looking to have a good time and make new friends, like Senior Cory Lutz (’13), who said, “Making new friends was the best part, I definitely found love in the air!”
Student Council member Niel Valmores (’13) agreed.
“I loved speed dating! Everyone was so nice and friendly,” the Senior class president said. “There were so many cute freshman and sophomores. It made the already spirited valentines day even more exciting!”
The creator of this popular and successful event was Senior Sarah Engstrom (’13).
“Me and Ms. Holmes needed something to do at lunch and I came up with that idea of speed dating because I thought it would be fun and give people a chance to get a valentine,” she says.
“I think it was a huge success. All the senior looked like they were having a good time and even the younger kids looked like they were having fun.”
With all the love in the air post-Valentines Day, anyone can come to the conclusion that speed dating was a success.
