Giving Back With Books

Find out what a highly active group at CB did to make St. Pat’s students have a Christmas to remember.

Enter to learn. Leave to serve. For the past several years, LaSallian youth has given back to our local community in an unimaginable way. Not only do they spend quality and valuable time every Monday and Wednesday by tutoring students from St. Patrick’s Academy, but every year around Christmas time, they warm the hearts of many St. Pat’s students by providing them with books donated by our very own CB students.

Furthermore, LaSallian Youth organizes a wonderful Christmas party with several wrapped books. This year’s party had an extra treat as Santa Clause, who happened to bear a striking resemblance to CB President Mr. Lorcan Barnes, made a surprise appearance.

“It’s so magical seeing the happiness in the kid’s eyes once they receive their presents,” states LaSallian Youth member Jessica Greisen (’13).

With the constant efforts of LaSallian Youth and its relentless leader, Dr. Holly Peterson, the dynamic group of giving students were able to receive several books and countless donations to make this event a success.

Not only will St. Pat’s students be able to dive into their new books this Christmas season, but the impact CB students continue to have on them will have an everlasting effect on their lives.
