It was only three years ago around this time of year when CB seniors from class of 2010, took a trip up to the Sierras, filled up a trucks bed worth of snow and brought it down to the CB campus for everyone to enjoy.
Due to the lack of snow in Sacramento some have never had the opportunity to experience the marvels of snow , including some kids who attend the elementary school next door, Oak Ridge. The seniors thought it would be a great idea to bring the snow to CB to let the Oak Ridge kids play in it for their first time. The snow was a hit.
Not only did the Oak Ridge kids love the snow on campus, but CB students loved to play in it during break and lunch.
“It was so cool as freshman having snow at school” say CB seniors Cherry Wells (’13) and Audrey Carroll (’13).
Most seniors recall the fun activity on campus that day so it raises the question of possibly wanting to do it again.
“I remember thinking I would want to do it when I was a senior, now I definitely would help but I don’t think I have the time and organization to lead a project like that,” says CB senior Alex Brocchini (’13).
The effort is definitely worth the excitement and hopefully the class of 2013 will surprise us with another wonderful snow day!
