Late Start Love

Find out why CB students adore Thursdays.

Late start. 9:00 start .Whatever you call it, it is probably what makes Thursday the only day of the school week that students actually look forward to. But why do students love late starts so much? Is the extra hour really that beneficial?

Well, according to these Christian Brothers students: it definitely is.

Most CB students use late start days to sleep in and catch up on some well-needed rest. many students also use this extra hour to do some school work, and say that it makes all the difference.

With a rigorous  schedule and a stressful year ahead, CB junior Elena Groen (’14) loves the fact that she can get her homework done in the morning, “even though I get here early and don’t get to sleep in.”

Sophomore Nia Hagelis (’15) agrees with Elena’s statement, saying that she loves late starts because “I get to do a lot of my homework before school, but more importantly because I get Starbucks!”

So, whether it is to get some well-deserved sleep, to finish up some last minute assignments, or maybe even to grab a yummy cup of coffee, it is not hard to see why students love that extra hour of leisure.
