Can a person really be a makeup guru, roller skating queen, and a musician? That’s the reality for Lolo Larraguivel (’20). This Christian Brothers senior can be found showing all her talents on her very own YouTube channel with over a hundred subscribers. From vlogs to makeup routines, roller skating to musical covers, this YouTuber has something for everyone on her channel. So how was she able to grow her following and become well known in the CB community?

Lolo’s YouTube career started in October of 2018, and her interest in YouTube has grown over the last two years. After watching many videos a day, she decided to pick up the camera and try it out for herself.

“It honesty started as a joke because the first video I uploaded was me doing ASMR,” she said laughing.

ASMR, which stands for autonomous sensory meridian response, are the most popular videos on her channel. They are videos of the Youtuber making certain sounds to make people feel relaxed and content.

After doing one video, she just could not get enough. She thought that it would it be fun to video herself doing things she loves for her friends to laugh at. She started dedicating more time and effort into these videos and found that they were only getting better.

She joined YouTube because wanted to be able to express all of her artistic abilities, music, and unbelievable roller skating skills.

“Being able to put myself out there — I really like that”, the vlogger stated. “Just being able to show people who I really am is something special.”

Makeup is another big part of Lolo’s life. She is a very creative person and she is able to express all of her creativity through formal and natural makeup looks.

“I realized I liked doing my makeup a lot, and I liked watching people do their makeup”, the guru said. “Makeup is a big part of the YouTube community, so I thought I might as well post me doing a video of me doing makeup because it’s something I really enjoy.”

Although she has many videos on her channel, some videos just come easier and produce more laughter and comments from the audience.

“I love doing vlogs because they tend to be all over the place and it ends up being so funny,” the YouTuber says excitedly. “I also really enjoy makeup routines because I just get to sit there and talk about whatever”.

Most people don’t have the opportunity to put themselves out there, but Lolo is able to use the internet to express her contagious personality.

“YouTube is really important to me because it’s an outlet”, the singer said.

So will she continue this adventure after High School? The idea of continuing making content in college does interest her, but she doesn’t know if she will be as popular.

“I’m definitely gonna pursue it still, however I don’t think I’m going to be like Jeffree star or James Charles”, she states, referencing internet celebrities with millions of following.

Before she is able to become big in the YouTube world, she first has to take a few steps to help her and her channel to reach its fullest potential.

“I need to learn not to monetize my videos so I can make money first,” the musician said.

The loyal subscribers on the Christian Brothers campus all had nothing but wonderful things to say about this phenomenal Youtuber.

“She’s definitely a hidden gem and it’s going to be crazy watching her grow and become more known,” Grace Ramirez (’20) said.

Something about her videos make her subscribers want to come back every week.

“Being a subscriber to Lolo is like watching the Oscars every time she uploads,” Asher Bloom (’20) exclaimed.

Some of these series include Lolo and her friends making videos. There is a very famous series called Roach Takeover Time, which is where Raquel Morris (’20) is given her time to shine.

“Let’s be honest, everyone is only here for Roach Takeover Time”, Raquel said confidently.

Lolo’s videos range from funny to serious to creative. Her personality is one of a kind and you will not find anyone like her. Her passion for her videos is greatly shown through the time and effort she puts in each post.

“Like, comment, and subscribe!” Lolo says.
