IncrEdible Baking

Cupcakes, cookies, and cakes — Jessica Kever’s baking is incredible.

From excellent grades to incredible baking skills, Jessica Kever (’17) does it all. Jessica is known for her delicious and incredible baking creations and she has even made her own glaze recipe.

She will bake for mainly her friends, but she says she will bake for anyone who asks. But her favorite things to bake are large cakes.

“[I like] one thing to look really beautiful [rather than making many small things look good]” she says.

Her passion for baking began when she was younger and her mom would make cakes for soccer parties. Jessica slowly began to help her mom until eventually she took over the whole operation.

In middle school, she would bake something every week just for the fun of it.

“I started baking in the sixth grade as a hobby, but it became my passion in eighth grade,” says Jessica about her baking journey.

Jessica does not make her own base recipes —  she will look up recipes for her baking on the internet because she will never accept the box recipes that are bought from the store. She once could not find the right glaze recipe, so she made her own from scratch.

The process of looking for just the right recipe and making the delicious creations, along with the decorating can be quite time consuming.

“Sleep is the first thing to go,” says Jessica about her timing of fitting in school and baking.

On a daily basis Jessica will get two to three hours of sleep. But in all her time of baking experience she has never turned down an opportunity to bake for anyone.

“I also always look at the birthday calendar in the front of the cafeteria, so I can make sure I won’t miss a birthday,” says Jessica of her commitment to baking.

Her passion of baking will never stop. Her dream is to own her own bakery in New York called IncrEdibles bakery that is three stories high. Her Instagram shares the same title Incredibles_bakery.
