The Pope is coming! The Pope is coming! Will you be there to see him live in action?

This upcoming September, Pope Francis will be attending the World Day of Family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During his visit, nearly four million people will be in his holy presence including 12 lucky CB students.

“This is the first time he’s coming to the United States,” Pope fanatic Dr. Holly Peterson exclaims. “It’s a big deal!”

According to Dr. Peterson, Pope Francis is very nervous to be visiting America. He believes that because his English is not the best, so he worries people won’t be able to understand his message.

With the help of Ms. Yearwood, Dr. Peterson and Mr. Guro, this trip will be an once in a lifetime opportunity for these students.

Freshmen Jessie Yearwood (’18) can’t wait to cross this off her bucket list.

“I’m excited to meet more people who have the same faith as me,” she tells the Talon.

Along with attending the World Day of Family, students will be touring La Salle University and munching on those famous Philly cheesesteaks.

Here at home, we should all take time out of our busy lives and tune in to the Pope live in Philadelphia.

“Although we don’t know what he’s going to say, I’m sure he’s going to stir our hearts,” Dr. Peterson says. “If we’re open and listen, whatever he says will be a help to us.”
