Christian Brothers Open House is a portal to excellence for prospective students.

On October 5, 2014, Christian Brothers held their annual Open House for up and coming freshman. This event draws in hundreds of prospective eighth graders every year looking to tour and find out more information about the school.

CB has magnificent arts, athletics, and theater programs to offer its students. Student ambassadors lead students and families on tours to meet teachers and coaches, to look inside different classrooms, and to see what CB is really all about.

Meredith Brown, a current student from California Middle School, talked about her interests and excitement she has for freshman year.

“I am interested in learning, being around amazing people, and having fun!” she says. “I talked to the women’s soccer and volleyball coaches — I have a really good feeling about coming here next year.”

Another excited eighth grader explains her feelings about choosing between Saint Francis and CB.

“I play the trumpet and I am also interested in soccer and volleyball,” says Lia Kaufman. “I really like the coaches that I have talked to, and I get a warm feelings after hearing what the students have to say.”

Christian Brothers gives every student the opportunity to thrive and grow as a student and person. With the new iPad program, students are able to learn in an entirely different fashion and prepare for college.

Two eighth grade boys from Brookfield Elementary School enjoy the fact that CB has diverse interests with their sports and academics.

“I am looking for good academics, a good tennis team, and I think the iPad program is really cool,” explains Alexander Vasilyeu. “I also think that CB has a really nice community too, and everyone has been really nice so far.”

“I’m interested in a strong community, with good teachers and excellent academics,” adds Matt Gunning. “I am interested in trying out for baseball and I am on my way to go talk to the coaches and players over at the baseball table.”

With all these promising students, CB is bound to have another stellar incoming freshman class.
