Can you keep your iPads safe from yourself?
Every student at Christian Brothers High School is equipped with CB apparel, a backpack, a thirst for knowledge and a state of the art Apple iPad.
The iPads have opened many new doors for the students to explore and harness the internet, but the iPads are not indestructible. With their diverse selection of applications and lightweight design, the iPads are a useful tool almost anywhere, but the more places they go the more chances they have to break.
“I was bringing i to the store and when I was getting out of the car to go inside and I accidentally kicked it out of the car and my iPad shattered,” expresses David Santiago (’17).
Even in the classrooms of Christian Brothers there is danger for the iPads.
“So I arrived to school on a gray, devilish Friday morning to CBHS, I arrived in my first set and when I was in the set I had to leave to use the restroom I stepped out of my desk. When I attempted to walk away my hip hit the desk and my iPad fell to the ground,” exclaims a scarred Jimmy Kvarme(’16).
Even with the wide variety of the gaming apps, some students still get bored with their iPads and search for other way to find entertainment using them.
“I was spinning my iPad on my finger and it flew off,” Kyle Smith(’15) states.
With the iPad being their greatest tool, the students of CB sometimes use these helpful tablets in the latest hours of the night.
“Well my iPad was on my bed and after I went to sleep I pulled up my blanket to cover me and then I herd this bang and when I got up the next morning My iPad was cracked.”says freshman Dahveed Mabourakh(’17).
The iPads have become an integral part of the community, but they have proven to be quite fragile. So if you want to keep these helpful tools intact it is best to always be alert.
