Babies bring out the best in Brothers.
Mrs. Blaire Moskat, the senior class counselor, recently took a maternity leave and The Talon went to find out more about how Mrs. Moskat and the baby are doing.
Lena Mary, who was named after her great aunt Lena and her grandmother Mary, was born July 22nd, only a couple hours apart from the royal baby.
“Yeah, we’re setting up wedding plans for the two of them!” Mrs. Moskat jokes.
The Talon asked Mrs. Moskat what the hardest part was when she and her husband first took their baby home.
“Definitely the lack of sleep, you literally go delirious. I remember my husband and I just laughing together about absolutely nothing and I just realized, ‘Wow, we’re really tired!”
Studies have shown the first two months with a new born baby are the hardest and most tiring. Mrs. Moskat took an entire semester off to make sure she had enough time to get the baby settled and into a routine and get used to everything, and Lena’s grandparents were a very big help as well, “[bringing] food, doing laundry, letting us catch up on sleep, cleaning, it was so nice” says the new mother.
“She has quite a personality, she laughs constantly and she’s scooting everywhere!” says the new mom of her beautiful daughter.
Mrs. Moskat suggests she would like to have one more baby before Lena gets too old. She’s been having an amazing experience with Lena including her pregnancy.
“It was such a cool experience to go through, I really enjoyed it” says the optimistic mom.
Everyone is so happy for Mrs. Moskat and the new joy in her life. We all wish her well! CB is always excited when we get a new Brothers Baby™. Mrs. Moskat and her husband couldn’t be more enthused as well,
“it’s just so much fun!” She laughs.
