The CB men’s soccer team fought to win round 1 of playoffs last Thursday against Patterson, 4-1, to advance and play number 7 seed Ceres this Wednesday.

Lead goal scorer Kristian Heptner (’15) scored a hat trick  and Alan Cervantes (’14) added another goal to give our boys in a strong lead.

The CB boys dominated the game from kickoff and never let down. It was a choppy game and intense throughout the whole match.

Striker Kristian thinks CB has the talent to win a section title.

“We went to playoffs my freshmen year, but this is the farthest we’ve advanced in a while.” Kristian explains. “I believe that with our team, the talent we have, and the heart we play with, we can get a championship.”

The soccer team not only has faith in each other, but the heart to win a title. Hopefully our boys will continue to advance and advance to the championship. They have the skill, natural talent, and quality coaching to achieve success.

Midfielder Spencer Mestas (’15) is confident in himself and his team to win it all.

“I think we played well and we’ve worked for everything we have achieved,” Mestas explains. “We’re getting everything we deserve, and I think we can get a championship if we keep it up.”
