Meet the members of your 2013-14 ASB Council.
With over half of the school year complete, Christian Brothers students were able to utilize their democratic rights through voting for the 2013-14 ASB Student Council. On Wednesday March 20th, an array of students delivered speeches to our school to convince us why they were the ones for the job they wanted.
While each candidate could have satiated us with fallacious promises such as having Morgan Freeman announce morning prayer or replacing our water fountains with Tiki Fruit Punch fountains, they did not and instead gave us logical reasons why they are qualified to have a role in our school.
Winners of the election for our 2013-2014 year include:
President – Margret Tabunda (‘14)
Vice President – Charlie Ibarra (‘14)
Treasurer – Derek Uy (‘14)
Secretary – Iris Fan (‘15)
Publicity/Historian – Iris Anderson (‘14) and Maret Marcin (‘14),
Rally Chairs – Brendan Gormley (‘14), Ryan Hedum (‘14), and Andrew McGee (‘14)
Each representative brings a level of personality and qualification for their position.
“I am a highly energized person and I feel like I can bring that to all students” says new rally chair member Ryan Hedum. “I originally ran for the position because I love every one, I love all people, and I wanted to spread high intensity to my loved ones.”
With a highly qualified and energized student council, the 2013-14 school year is sure to be a rousing success.
