The recipe has been passed down generation to generation, but the unbelievable taste is the same

It is a bag of caramel corn to a passerby, but to this CB student, it means much more.

She isn’t the first to sell Carmazzi Caramel Corn, but AnnaMarie Carmazzi (’15) has definitely made her mark on the CB campus.

It all started when  her brother Paul Carmazzi ’10 decided that he wanted to go on the Christian Brothers summer Europe trip. He had to find a way to save money for the trip — what better way to save than to sell a tasty treat loved by so many?

Soon after Paul sold caramel corn, his younger sister Megan Carmazzi ’11, started up to save money for her CB Europe trip.

Once Megan graduated, CB was left without Carmazzi Caramel Corn for two years. Luckily for us, AnnaMmarie came to CB and brought back that special treat.

“Its really addicting,” the three sport athlete told The Talon. “People always say they cant get enough of it.”

The sophomore entrepreneur isn’t lying about people’s love for her delicious concoction . Seniors Maria Castro (’13) and Meggie Larson (’13) proved AnnaMarie right by sharing their feelings about Carmazzi Caramel Corn

“[Her] caramel corn — it’s perfect,” says Maria.

“It’s the perfect mixture of chewy and crunchy,” adds Meggie.

Annamarie sells the caramel corn in three bag sizes — Small ($2), Medium ($8), and Large ($12).The outgoing freshman neatly packs the caramel corn into plastic bags with a yellow Carmazzi Caramel Corn label that reads –“Gourmet, Cooked To Perfection, Crazy Good, Mmmmm, Lil’ Drops Of Sunshine.” With a label like that, you just couldn’t go wrong. Without tasting the caramel corn, its already easy to see why Carmazzi Caramel Corn is loved by many.

If you would like to purchase a bag or two — or maybe even five — of Carmazzi Caramel Corn, feel find AnnaMarie around campus as she will be taking orders until June 12th.
