Mr. Mickiewicz and the CB Theatre Troupe are looking for more talent.
A dark stage, bright lights, and wonderful Christian Brothers acting.
These are all things you can expect to see when the spring play is put on this year. The play this year is the comedy “You Can’t Take It with You” and the audition dates have not yet been specified, but are set for this week leading up to Friday February 15th. Any student who wants to know more can contact Theater Director Mr. Connor Mickiewicz.
The Theater Program has really ramping up momentum these past few weeks. Straight from the very entertaining One Acts and right into auditions for the next production, Christian Brothers Theater is always looking for more actors.
Christian Brothers Theater is a very tight-knit program and if someone wants in the best way is to talk to Mr. Mickiewicz or listen to the announcements before break.
“It may seem a little crazy but then, so are we…” said actor Kaalen Kirrene (‘13). “If you want in it’s easy.”
Kaalen acted in his first production at Christian Brothers with “Godspell” this year is looking forward to auditioning again.
“I’m very excited,” the senior says. “Mr. Mickiewicz is an awesome director and I’m excited to have another opportunity to work with him again.”
This production won’t be a musical, so the pressure is on for the students to really let their acting skills show through. Kaalen has no worries though,
“I think it will be fun,” Kaalen says, adding that he looks forward to seeing how the other actors, as well as he himself, can show their skills on the stage.
