Get a laugh out of the brilliantly tacky sweaters that CB students have been sporting.
With Christmas just around the corner, Christian Brothers students have been ravaging through the racks at thrift stores and searching in their grandmothers’ closets to find the tackiest Christmas sweaters possible and show off their Christmas spirit.
Starting off the week with this classic green number, senior Savannah Muzzi (’13) says, “it was my goal this week to find the funkiest sweater possible –so I went to my grandma’s house. I like this sweater because it has glitter glue and a huge Santa.”
Other students, such as Otie Biondi (’15) and AnnaMarie Carmazzi (’15) were not as brave as Savannah and chose less obnoxious, more stylish looks, which would be more socially acceptable if it weren’t ugly sweater week! Nice effort kids, maybe next year.
Sophomores Iris Fann (’15) and Quentin Barbosa (’15)pay an homage to Rudolph with their reindeer sweaters.
Trying her hand at arts and crafts, creative senior Brittney Guevara (’13) joined up with friend Colleen Donovan (’13) and took a DIY approach. “[We] got sweaters from the thrift shop and decorated them with things from the dollar tree.”
Once more representing the spirited gentlemen, Anthony Lent (’13) looks terrifically tacky in his snowman-embellished red sweater.
Later on in the week Savannah was spotted once again in a festive ensemble covered in ice-skating penguins and decorated trees. This senior is definitely giving the rest of the students a run for their money.
Not quite as Christmasy, but red nonetheless, Precious Ramirez (’13) embodies the spirit of Disney in this Mickey Mouse number.
Elizabeth Herrera (’13) looks adorable in this creme sweater and festive sparkled top.
Who can forget santa’s transportation? Jessica Greisen (’13) gives a shout-out to the reindeer in her red sweater. “Santa and the reindeer are dancing!” says Jessica of her favorite Christmas sweater.
But the winner of the unofficial Talon ugly sweater contest has to go to senior Jacquelyn Kasbergen (’13) with her totally random and wonderfully ridiculous farm sweater, complete with cows and chickens. To make it even better, Jacquelyn actually lives on a farm!
So there you have it CB, the best (or would it be the worst?) of the Christmas sweaters that have decked our halls so far this holiday season.
The Talon staff wishes you and your family a holly jolly Christmas and a very happy New Year!
