Hot Styles In The Student Store

The best place to acquire the latest trends in Christian Brothers attire is at the recently renovated CB Student Store.

In charge of the CB Student Store is our very own track and field coach, Mr. John MacNamee.  According to Mr. MacNamee, “the idea [behind the remodel] was to make [the student store] more of a retail shop,” which would allow CB to keep a higher level of inventory and make the store easier to shop around in.

As the owner of the factory that produces the clothing and designer of the clothing itself, Mr. MacNamee has been working hard trying to create styles that keep up with the latest trends, giving students a variety of ways to express their school pride.

Among the high levels of inventory are many different styles of sweaters, sweatshirts, jackets, polos, and “myriad of t-shirts” as the enthusiastic shopkeeper points out.

Other exciting CB knickknacks include everything from iPhone and pillow cases to CB golf balls and glass plates, as well as a wide selection of CB jewelry.

The most important goal of the student store is to raise money for our school but the store is also a way to advertise CB and get our products out there.

“We are a brand” Mr. MacNamee explains, “[and] we want [our] brand to be out in the public.”

Currently, the student store has been running from about 3:00-3:45 pm after school but Mr. MacNamee says that they’re still “playing it by ear.” His goal is to “always be open at least a couple days after school.”

The coach also plans on incorporating more apparel during the holiday seasons including long-sleeve shirts, knit hats, and even boxer shorts.
