Meet the Rally Chairs who manufacture large helpings of CB spirit.
School spirit is an important part of enhancing the Christian Brothers community and the driving force is lead by the Associative Student Body Rally Chairs: Vinnie Johnson (’13), Chris Rios (’13), and Ben McFadden (’13).
Outgoing, Enthusiastic, and outstanding members of the CB football team, Vinnie, Chris, and Ben are the perfect group of students to enhance the spirit of CB students, faculty and staff.
As heads of the Rally Chair committee, Vinnie, Chris, and Ben are responsible for creating and conducting school-wide rallies. An immense amount of hard work goes into planning and coordinating rallies with help from student council, and sometimes Falcon Force.
“[We just] show what needs to be seen” says Chris, meaning that if new cheers need to be taught or if there is anything that students need to see or know about, they incorporate that into their rallies.
Although conducting rallies is what they do, when asked what their main job is, Vinnie enthusiastically answered that, “[Our main job] is to get [the student body] pumped up,” especially for school events like Holy Bowl.
The group comes up with fun games and videos to entertain students, making rallies a more interactive experience for the student body.
Ben urges the student body to participate in cheers saying that it is “extremely important” for the CB community to be spirited and show their Falcon pride.
Vinnie, Chris, and Ben did a great job with their first rally and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next. The seniors are also very open-minded students who would love to incorporate your ideas into their next rally.
