It’s football tradition to tailgate before games in the parking lot of the stadium and Holy Bowl XLII was no exception. Friends and family have been getting together before the game in the Hughes Stadium parking lot for years now.

Falcon families are accustomed to going to Holy Bowl early to get a bite of deliciousness from the annual tailgates. This year the Manning family decided to go big and roast a whole pig. Nothing but positive feedback came from the people who indulged into this delight as there was plenty of food to go around for everybody who wanted some.

Tailgating before the game is not just a Christian Brothers activity — Jesuit fans also partake in the pre-game festivities, making the action of the field not the only competition of the day.

“It is a rivalry on and off the field especially when it comes to who has the best food.” said senior Matt Emslie (’13).  “It is a great time for friends and family to get together and have a great time before the heated game.”

The pre-game activities are always a delight before the biggest game of the season for the Falcons and Marauders, and it will continue as long as the historic game never ends.
